1. Do not overload the transformer

Because if it is in the state of overload operation for a long time, the inner coil will heat up, thereby accelerating the aging speed of the insulating layer, and eventually short circuit between boxes and decomposition of oil will occur.

2. Use high-quality insulating oil

During the use of the oil transformer, it is necessary to ensure the quality of its insulating oil. During storage and transportation, some impurities are sometimes dropped, thereby reducing its quality, which will affect the use effect. In addition, some oils on the market are mixed with water. After such use, the insulation strength of the transformer will be reduced, which is likely to cause safety accidents.

3. Be careful not to damage the insulation during maintenance

The oil transformer needs to be repaired regularly, and during the inspection, care should be taken not to damage the insulating layer. If it is found that the insulating layer is scratched or damaged during the maintenance process, it must be dealt with immediately. In addition, it is also necessary to pay attention to the conditions of the iron core insulation layer and the bolt casing to see if there is any aging or damage. If it is ignored, it is easy to speed up their aging speed.
