Powertransformer Oil Leakage

There are two main reasons for powertransformer leakage:

On the one hand, it is latent in the process of transformer design and manufacturing; on the other hand, it is caused by improper installation and maintenance of the transformer. The main leakage parts of the transformer often appear in the radiator interface, flat butterfly valve cap, casing, porcelain bottle, weld, trachoma, flange and other parts.

1. Air in and out

Air in and out is an invisible form of leakage. For example, the air in and out of the casing head, the diaphragm of the oil conservator, the glass of the safety airway, the blisters of the welding seam and the sand inclusion of the steel are all invisible. Over the years, the main malignant accidents in the power system are mostly the burn accident of the winding and the serious damage to the body of the transformer due to the short circuit of the low voltage outlet of the powertransformer.

2. Classification of oil leakage

Transformer oil leakage can be divided into two types: internal leakage and external leakage, and external leakage can be divided into two types: weld leakage and sealing surface leakage.

1) Internal leakage: The common internal leakage is that the oil in the oil-filled bushing and the oil in the oil chamber of the switch switch of the on-load voltage regulator leak to the powertransformer body.

2) External leakage: External leakage is divided into two types: weld leakage and sealing surface leakage:

Weld leakage: Weld leakage is caused by the presence of blisters in the welded part of the steel plate.

Leakage of sealing surface: The leakage of sealing surface is more complicated, and specific problems should be analyzed in detail. In the process of powertransformer overhaul or installation, preventing leakage of the sealing surface should be an important task.
